The registration process is described in detail below the calendar. All participants are required to sign a Waiver of Liability prior to participating in our group hikes. Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that this activity of the Oak Ridges Trail Association, in which I am participating, involves risks which are beyond the control of the Association. Notwithstanding the acknowledgement of such risks, I hereby release the Oak Ridges Trail Association, its contractors, employees, volunteers, agents, assigns and executors, as well as Hike Ontario, from all claims for damage however so arising as a result of my participation in this or any other activity organized by the association.
I agree to pay the cost of any emergency evacuation of my person or belongings that may be necessary. I affirm that I am aware of the nature of the activity, its distance, duration and degree of difficulty and that I am properly equipped and physically able to participate.
I have no medical or other condition or communicable disease which might preclude my participation or that could reasonably be expected to pose a risk to me or to the group. I agree to advise the hike leader of any medical conditions that may require assistance.
I agree to follow the directions of the hike leader for the duration of the activity. I acknowledge that hike leaders can deny participation by hikers who are ill equipped or in obvious poor health and that hikers retain the right to ask members to wear a mask when sharing a vehicle.
I acknowledge that failure to abide by these conditions could put me or other members of the group at risk.
