Clarington - Long Sault CA (Woodley Rd), Mod-Fast, Sheila King

Non-members AND new ORTA members must contact the hike leader by noon the day prior to determine if the hike is suitable for them.

ORTA Map 7; Choose your distance: ~9k or 16k+; Mod-Fast; between 4 to 4.5k/hr; 2.5 hrs to 4.5+hrs

Long Sault is situated on the Oak Ridges Moraine and is the largest of CLOCA’s eight conservation areas with almost 18kms of trails. We will be hiking on varied and hilly terrain through mature forests, plantation and meadow.  

This is a two-part moderately paced hike. The hills and distance will make it more challenging. You will have the option to opt out after the first ~9k+ when we return to our starting point. For those who wish to continue, bring a lunch/snack and we will resume after a 20 minute break.

Poles may be helpful. Bring ample water and check the weather the morning of and dress accordingly.   

$7/day parking per vehicule to be paid on-site via the HONK mobile app/QR code.  

Meet at CA Parking Lot. Exit 401 at Waverly Rd. Travel North on Regional Rd. #57. Turn right at Regional Rd. #20. Turn left at Woodley Rd.
