Ganaraska Hiking Trail Map 12 Petticoat Junction Hike; challenging terrain; slow-moderate pace (3.5-4 km per hour); 14 km distance.

Join us on the hike out to Petticoat Junction and back. This hike offers “The Best of the Queen Elizabeth Wildlands” with challenging terrain and stunning views of creeks, ponds, and lakes. The “Wildlands” are situated on a biologically diverse area that covers 33,505 hectares in the largest preserve south of Algonquin PP. The Wildlands are classed a non-operating provincial park - there are no facilities or amenities for hikers, just endless wilderness. We will take our time on this hike for those who enjoy taking photos or simply wish to take in the wonderful scenic views.

Hikers should be prepared with at least two litres of water, snacks, and a lunch.  Dress for the weather/ consider a hat, sunscreen and bug spray.  Hiking poles will be an advantage for beaver dam crossings.

This is a joint hike with the Ganaraska Hiking Trail Association.

Meet at 9:30 a.m.
