This hike is a part of an End-to-End Series.  You are welcome to join in for a single hike or come along for the full journey.

This is an “Ontario Country Roads” hike that reveals wonderful countryside roads as well as forested areas.  This includes a 6 km segment through the Long Sault Conservation Area.  This area was acquired in 1961 by the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority and now includes almost 400 hectares of hardwood forest, meadows, and cedar swamp.  The hikes begins in the Township of Scugog and ends in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Preparing for the Hike: Dress in layers, wear comfortable footwear, bring a hat and at least 2 litres of water.  No dogs, and no drop-outs.
