Uxbridge - Glen Major West (Aggregate Pit), Mod - fast, Anna Sunn

Arrive at 9:15 am for a 9:30 am start.

Icers are mandatory this time of year.

Come out to explore this area of rolling hills.  Formerly the site of a large gravel pit, the area is now comprised of beautiful mixed coniferous-deciduous forests, meadows and wetlands. Much of the surrounding property was previously used for agriculture.  Old farm roads and farm building foundations are still evident. 

Meet at parking lot on east side of Uxbridge Conc 6, 0.6 km north of Uxbridge Town Line or 5.5 km south of Durham Road 21.

Please note that this is a pay parking lot.  It is Zone 104.  Where possible, hikers are encouraged to carpool from alternate locations (Brock Tract or Pleasure Valley parking lots off Brock Rd.  or Wilder or North Walker Woods roadside parking on Concession 6) with fellow hikers to reduce parking fees.  Details regarding the Uxbridge parking system can be found at Permit Parking - Trail Sustainability - Township of Uxbridge.
