Uxbridge - North/West Walker Woods (Conc. 6.) , Mod-Fast, Greg Jaski

Members only hike.  Pre-registration is mandatory.  No dogs.

ORTA MAP 5;   15-17 km; 4-5 hrs; Moderate to fast pace.   

Bring drink & lunch/snack. 

We will hike North Walker in this scenic forest  of deciduous trees with its high canopy for approx. 7 km. The sandy trail is mainly flat with a few hills. Then walk 500m south on Concession 6 to access West Walker Woods for another 8kms.  Maximum 15 hikers. 

Note: arrive at 9:15am for a 9:30am start.

Location: There is room for about 5 vehicles to roadside park at this entrance to North Walker Woods (about 500 metres north of the paid parking lot).  Uxbridge residents are asked to use the parking lot on the east side of Conc 6, 2 km south of Durham Rd. 21 at Allbright Rd. then walk up to the start (about 500m).
