Alnwick/Haldimand - Northumberland Forest Trails, Moderate, Scott Cecchin

Members and Non-members welcome.

ORTA Map 11; 17 km; 4.5 hours.

Join us for a loop through the eastern end of the beautiful Northumberland Forest. We’ll hike along part of ORTA’s main trail, and loop around on some other forest trails, with a stop for lunch at the lookout. Occasional stops for nature appreciation are encouraged! Expect some sandy trails and some gentle-to-moderate inclines. There will be an optional post-hike coffee at a local café, for anyone who’s interested.

Bring water and food for lunch. Dress appropriately for the conditions, and dress to protect against poison ivy (along some trail sides) and ticks.

Contact hike leader first if you are considering bringing a dog.
