This is my favourite of the eight conservation areas managed by Central Lakes of Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA). With close proximity to Chalk Lake, this area is part of a large and relatively unfragmented forested area that has been designated as a Natural Core Area of the Oak Ridges Moraine.
Roadside Parking is at 231 Middle March Rd (at the end of the road just before it turns left onto Woodbridge Circle). Park on right side of the road only. We will hike the trails of Crow’s Pass, including the ORTA Crow’s Pass blue side trail, for anyone working towards their side trail challenge badge. Depending on conditions, we may be able to do part of the connecting ORTA trail heading east to Ashburn Rd.
Kindly arrive at 9:15a.m. for 9:30a.m. start.
