Whit-Stouffville - Oak Ridges Main Trail, YRF Tracts - moderate-fast - David Atkins

Members and non-members welcome. 

Non-members are required to contact the hike leader by 6 pm the evening before to ensure that this hike is suitable for you. 

ORTA Map 4; 13 km; 4 hrs including shuttle; moderate-fast pace (4-4.5 km/hr). We will be hiking the York Region Forest Tracts portions of the Oak Ridges Trail, including the Robinson, Clarke, Patterson, Hall, Eldred King, and Hollidge Tracts.  Expect hilly terrain.  This will be a through hike, not a loop hike  – we will be meeting at the endpoint, doing a shuttle to the start point on Warden Ave. at the Robinson Tract parking lot, and then hiking east towards the endpoint. One or more volunteers will be needed to be shuttle drivers. No dogs please.

Bring water and snacks.  Carpooling is encouraged as there is limited parking space at the meeting point.  

For anyone working on an End-to-End Hike this is one of an occasional series of hikes along the Oak Ridges Main Trail, mostly on the off-road sections, starting in the west and working eastwards into Durham Region. 

Registration is limited to 10 hikers.

PARKING: 16390  9^th Line. Hollidge Tract roadside parking, west side of 9^th Line 1.0km north of St. John’s Sideroad

Meet at 8:15 a.m. for a 8:30 a.m. start.
